What this site collects, why, who else handles it, how long it’s kept — and how to have it deleted.

Who runs this site

Find me a Grad Scheme (findmeagradscheme.co.uk) is an independent project run by one person in the UK, who is the data controller for the personal information described here. “We”, “us” and “our” on this page mean that person.

The quickest way to reach us about anything on this page — including a request about your data — is the feedback page. You can also email us directly at findmeagradscheme@gmail.com.

What we collect — and what we don’t

Things that never leave your browser

Most of the site works entirely on your own device. Searching and filtering schemes, the match tool, the sector, region and test-prep guides, and anything you paste or select from your CV all run in your browser. None of it is sent to us, and we can’t see it.

  • Your CV is never uploaded. If you choose a CV file in the match tool, it’s read on your own device to fill in the text box — nothing is sent anywhere.
  • Courses you save on the CV Boost page are kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device. They’re never sent to us.

Things you choose to send us

We only receive personal information if you send a message through the feedback form: the topic you pick and your message, plus the page or scheme it’s about and your email address — but only if you choose to give them.

There’s no sign-up, waitlist or account anywhere on the site.

Technical information

Like every website, the servers that deliver this one automatically receive technical details with each request, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for. That’s handled by our host, Netlify. The site’s fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser also sends a request — including your IP address — to Google’s font servers.

We never sell your information, never use it for advertising and never send you marketing.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers, who handle information on our behalf:

  • Netlify, Inc. hosts the website and stores form submissions, and processes the technical information described above to deliver and secure the site. Netlify is based in the United States, so this information may be processed outside the UK, under the safeguards in Netlify’s terms and data processing agreement. See Netlify’s privacy policy.
  • Google serves the site’s fonts through Google Fonts. Google Fonts doesn’t set cookies; the request your browser makes includes your IP address and browser details, which Google says it uses to deliver the fonts — not to profile you or to target advertising. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
  • Our email provider. Form submissions can be forwarded to the inbox we use to run the site, so they may be stored there too.

We don’t share your information with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

  • Feedback: for up to 12 months after we’ve dealt with it, then deleted.
  • Technical logs: kept by Netlify for a limited period under its own policies.
  • Courses you save: on your device until you clear them. We never hold a copy.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. There’s no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.

The only thing it stores on your device is the course shortlist on the CV Boost page, in your browser’s local storage — and only once you save a course. It’s needed for a feature you’ve asked to use, so it doesn’t need a consent banner, and it never leaves your device. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes it.

If we ever add analytics, we’ll update this page first and ask for your consent wherever the law requires it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • have it corrected if it’s wrong;
  • have it deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive it in a portable format.

To use any of these rights, send a request through the feedback page or email findmeagradscheme@gmail.com, and include the email address you used so we can find your details. We’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113 — though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

The site is for students and graduates. If you’re under 13, please don’t send us any personal information through the forms.

Changes to this notice

We’ll update this page whenever what we collect, or how we use it, changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
