The tools to land it.
Free tools to organise your search, plus paid services when you want a real edge — a CV-built personal site, one-to-one interview coaching, and prep packs for a specific employer or assessment day.
I'm building Gradient myself, based on what I wish I'd had.
This isn't a finished product from a big company — it's something I'm building because applying for graduate schemes is genuinely confusing, scattered and stressful, and I don't think it needs to be. Every tool on this page exists because I either wanted it myself when I was applying, or I've watched a friend struggle without it.
The free tools are free because I think everyone should have them. The paid services exist because some things — a real human reading your CV, a proper conversation before an interview — take real time, and I'd rather be upfront about that than pretend otherwise. If something here is missing or rubbish, tell me — I'm still building this.
A shortlist built around your CV
Tell Gradient your degree and where you want to be — or paste your CV — and it ranks the schemes that fit you and shows the reason for every match.
How it works
Enter your degree subject, university, preferred location and sectors. Gradient scores every role against your profile and ranks the matches, with a reason for each one.
Paste your CV
Drop in your CV text and Gradient reads your skills, experience and subject — no account needed, nothing stored.
Why each match?
Every result shows exactly why it scored well — degree match, location, salary fit, sector alignment — so you can shortlist with confidence.
Application tracker
Move every application from saved to offer on one board. The stages match the real graduate-scheme process — from shortlisting to finals.
Your board saves automatically in this browser. Browse schemes to add your first application.
Turn your CV into a personal website
Upload your CV and Gradient builds you a polished, fully interactive personal site — animated, on-brand for your sector, and built to be shared as a link, not an attachment. Live in minutes.
Why a website beats a PDF
- Recruiters skim a PDF for six seconds. A site makes them stop and scroll.
- Shows initiative and technical polish before they've read a word.
- One link for your CV, portfolio, projects and contact details — works on any device.
- Built to match your sector: a banking grad and a developer get very different builds.
- Genuinely animated and interactive — not a template with your name swapped in.
How it works
1. Upload your CV (or paste the text). 2. Pick a style below, or let us choose based on your sector. 3. We build it and send you a live link and the source file within 48 hours.
Interview coaching
Real practice with a real person, not a webcam and a script. We run a live call, ask the questions your target employer actually asks, and give you direct feedback on what to change.
1 Tell us what you're prepping for
Share the employer, role and stage — first round, assessment centre, or final panel — so the session is built around it.
2 A live session with a coach
30 or 60 minutes over video with someone who has run real graduate hiring. Competency questions, sector-specific questions, and a proper grilling on your weak spots.
3 Honest, specific feedback
What landed, what didn't, and exactly what to change before the real thing — written up and sent after the call.
This is a human-led service — there's no webcam tool or recording feature on the site itself. Enquire and we'll find a time that works.

Company prep pack
Pick the employer you want most and we put together everything specific to applying there — their process, their questions, their numbers.
One employer, fully covered
Tell us the company. We build a pack on exactly how they hire graduates, so you walk in already knowing what to expect.
- Their actual application stages and timeline, in order
- The test publisher they use and what it covers
- Recent real interview and assessment-centre questions
- What they say they look for, mapped to your CV
- Salary, culture and recent news worth knowing before you apply
Assessment day pack
You've got an assessment centre booked. This pack gets you ready for every exercise on the day, not just the interview.
- What to expect, hour by hour, for a typical assessment day
- Group exercise strategy — how to stand out without dominating
- A case study or in-tray exercise to practise beforehand
- Presentation structure template and timing guidance
- A pre-day checklist so nothing catches you off guard
